The Beldon Library

The Beldon Library housed in the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Campus of the San Antonio Jewish Community is a community resource open to all.  The adult collection includes books, audiovisual materials, journals and newspapers of Jewish interest.  An extensive Holocaust collection forms part of the library.  The juvenile collection, incorporating the Eleanor Kolitz Academy library, includes works for general juvenile fiction and non-fiction.  The library has a computerized catalog and free access to the Internet.

Marlene Reynolds is the librarian.

Regular Hours:

Monday: 10 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Tuesday:  3 p.m. - 7 p.m.
Wednesday: closed
Thursday: 10 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Friday: - closed

The library holds special programs such as book talks, book discussion groups, preschool story time and a used book sale.

CRC Book Group Reads....

When She was Bad

The CRC Book Group, which is sponsored by the Community Relations Council and the Beldon LIbrary will discuss When She was Bad by Charlotte Mendelsohn at its next meeting on June 15.  Membership is $20 for new members and $15 for returning members.  Each member is responsible for obtaining and reading copies of each book discussed.  This year the group has read The Fixer by Malamud and Pictures at an Exhibition by Houghteling.
