CRC = The Community Relations Council of the Jewish Federation of San Antonio

The Community Relations Council (CRC) is the community relations, public policy and advocacy arm of the Jewish Federation. It is composed of representatives of all the major Jewish organizations in San Antonio. On issues in which there is consensus, the CRC speaks for the organized Jewish community of San Antonio.

S.A. GIVEBACK is a CRC program dedicated to mobilizing community resources to enhance the lives of our wounded servicemen and women as they recouperate by coordinating the contributions of individuals, businesses and other organizations. CLICK HERE TO LEARN MORE

Action Goals

CRC Action Goals to pursue its mission include:

  • Advocacy for Jews and Jewish issues
  • Building coalitions within the Jewish community and with the wider San Antonio community
  • Convenes the San Antonio Jewish community in times of crisis, celebration and commemoration

The San Antonio Jewish Coalition for Literacy

The CRC founded and is a proud sponsor of the San Antonio Jewish Coalition for Literacy and its Tu-To-R program which places tutors to work with students in their own schools.  To learn more about the San Antonio Jewish Coalition for Literacy.

The San Antonio Interfaith Coalition for Darfur

The CRC is a founding member of the San Antonio Interfaith Coalition for Darfur whose primary mission is to raise awareness about the ongoing genocide in Darfur, Sudan. For more on Darfur and SAIDC.

The Jewish Council for Public Affairs

The Community Relations Council of the Jewish Federation of San Antonio is a member agency of the Jewish Council for Public Affairs (JCPA).  To go to JCPA.  

Interfaith Connections

The Community Relations Council participated in the founding of the Interreligious Council of San Antonio in 1966.  The Interreligious Council meets the second Monday of the month at 6:15 p.m. For more information, click here
