Local author Ruth E. Stitt will present her newly published book, When the World was Broken. Based on real letters exchanged between Lina, an American, and her German cousins desperate to escape Nazi persecution in Berlin between 1933-1942, the book illustrates the courage of ordinary individuals attempting extraordinary acts.
