A collection of diaries written during the Holocaust by young people, between the ages of 12-22 years. Some of the young writers were refuges, others were in hiding or passing as non-Jews, and some imprisoned in ghettos. This National Jewish Book Award winner preserves the impressions and emotions of daily events which serve to deepen and complicate our understanding of life during the Holocaust.
