Assistance League of San Antonio’s Lit ‘n Lunch
Paulette Jiles, author of News of the World and her most
recent novel Simon the Fiddler, featured keynote speaker.

[San Antonio, TEXAS, March 3, 2021—] Assistance League of San Antonio’s annual Lit ‘n Lunch fundraiser, a virtual event on March 3, 2021, will feature Paulette Jiles, finalist for the 2016 National Book Award for News of the World, which recently made its film debut starring Tom Hanks, and author of Simon the Fiddler, her most recent novel. Event emcee will be Bill Taylor, KENS 5 Weather Chief. Bidding on silent auction items, purchasing raffle tickets, and donating to an online “Clothe A Child” auction supporting Assistance League of San Antonio’s two children’s clothing programs will begin February 24th and continue throughout the event.
Assistance League of San Antonio, a member driven, 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, is transforming lives and strengthening community through its philanthropic programs. The money raised by Assistance League of San Antonio stays in the community. Funding comes from Thrift Store sales, grants and donations, and from fundraisers such as Lit ‘n Lunch.
