3rd Annual Shower the Community with Love to benefit local Jewish families

The Jewish Federation of San Antonio’s Women’s Division will host the 3rd annual Shower the Community with Love, where women will gather to enjoy desserts, wine, shopping and fun, at the Campus of the Jewish Community on Monday, December 11th from 7-9pm. The event chairs, Margaret Gofman Klein and Elisa Reinsmith, will host this community-wide event for women to benefit local Jewish families in need.

With the assistance of synagogue and Jewish agency leadership, the event committee has identified at least 14 families in our community who are in need. Women will be able to shop a registry on Amazon Smile for much-needed supplies for these local families. Guests may have the gifts shipped directly to Federation or bring them to the event.

In addition to the registry, Shower guests will be able to purchase gift cards for HEB, gasoline, and restaurants and entertainment for the families. At the event, guests will also enjoy shopping at the Holiday Market; a portion of those sales will benefit the families in need. This year’s Shower also includes a few silent and live auction items to raise funds to support the families in our community.

Women may purchase their $18 ticket online at www.jfsatx.org/Shower or by calling the JFSA office at 210.302.6960. Dietary laws will be observed.

If you would like to volunteer or assist with this event, please contact Eva Laporte, Director of Women’s Philanthropy & Young Adult Division at laportee@jfsatx.org or 210.302.6965.
