Join Rabbi Jonathan Falco for an engaging and thought-provoking S'lichot evening as we prepare our hearts for the High Holy Days. We'll begin with a screening of Bad Shabbos (84 minutes), a hilarious comedy in which David and his fiancée, Meg, invite their parents to meet for the first time over a Shabbat dinner on New York's Upper West Side. But when an accidental death (or... murder?) threatens to derail the evening just as Meg's Catholic parents arrive, one bad decision quickly snowballs into another, creating an unforgettable and chaotic family dinner.

Following the film, Rabbi Falco will lead a discussion exploring how wrongdoing can compound—how one poor choice often leads to another until we realize just how far off the derekh (path) we've wandered. Together, we'll reflect on the first steps of teshuvah (repentance and return), making meaningful connections to the themes of S'lichot and the journey toward the High Holy Days.

The evening will conclude with Havdalah and a beautiful S'lichot service led by Temple clergy, offering a meaningful transition into this sacred season of reflection, renewal, and return.
