Social distancing procedures and CDC guidelines will be followed. The South Texas Blood & Tissue Center needs to collect an adequate blood supply for 67 hospitals in 43 South Texas counties, and due to the current pandemic there is a tremendous need. Donations are by appointment only. Please check weekly email and Temple website for appointment registration. The qualifications to be a blood donor are simple. You must be in good general health, at least 17 years of age (16 with a parent’s consent) and weigh at least 110 lbs. (120 lbs. if the donor is 16). Come donate and fulfill the Jewish value of pikuach nefesh (saving a life).
