Development Associate (Full-Time)
The Development Associate’s primary responsibilities are maximizing the development (both fundraising and engagement) of the Jewish community with the Jewish Federation of San Antonio (JFSA) while ensuring the achievement of fundraising goals.
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about strengthening the Jewish community, creating connections with community members, have strong organizational skills, with an exceptional eye for detail, and be a strong team player.
Active participant in the strategy and implementation of all campaigns.
Leads, manages, and implements the portfolio of donors with gifts up to $1,800.
Continuously building relationships with current and prospective donors.
Supervises a part-time Engagement Associate who serves as a liaison connecting individuals and families with opportunities available at JFSA and other Jewish organizations.
Supervises a part-time Event Coordinator who is responsible for internal and external events.
Develop effective engagement opportunities that grow JFSA constituents.
In partnership with the Director of Development, develops and implements a stewardship program that ensures positive donor engagement and philanthropy.
Oversees and organizes the giving society’s pin programs.
Serves as the primary backup for the Data Base Administrator.
- Five or more years of development experience.
- Management experience preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral).
- Strong attention to detail; able to plan, organize, prioritize, and execute responsibilities.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Suite; Experience and knowledge of donor database, Blackbaud preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours (some evenings and Sundays will be required)
- Knowledge of the Jewish Federation and the local Jewish community is preferred.
