What is the Jewish Journal?

The Jewish Journal is your connection to the San Antonio Jewish Community. With articles from local agencies, organizations, synagogues, and community members, you'll never feel out of the loop! In the Journal, you'll find recaps of past programs, community spotlights, stories from our community members, retrospectives, and more. Additionally, our weekly article, which features community members or important news updates, can be found under "Shalom Y'all."

Stay up-to-date on all things Jewish Journal by signing up for our mailing list! When you sign up, you'll also receive our print edition, mailed directly to you, three times a year. Need to update your records, or want to sign up for the first time? Fill out the form linked below to get started!

Submitting Articles

Who can submit an article?

We welcome articles from Jewish agencies, organizations, and synagogues.

How do I submit an article?

Articles are accepted on a rolling basis, and are published weekly. Holidays may affect publishing dates. To submit, please visit our online form. Articles should be between 150 and 750 words, and must include one high-quality photo. Read more about our policies and guidelines here.

Do you publish opinion pieces, or op-eds?

The Jewish Journal is dedicated to providing its readers with factual, unbiased, and informative news coverage. In line with this commitment to responsible journalism, we have decided not to publish opinion pieces in our online newspaper. Read more about this policy here.

Paid Advertisements

We are always looking for new partners to advertise with us. Ads run on a month to month basis and are almost always available for renewal. We offer several packages with varying sizes to ensure you're reaching as many of our readers as possible.

Our print edition is sent out three times a year: at Passover, High Holidays, and Hanukkah. This is a prime advertising opportunity, and as such, spots go quickly. Make sure to sign up for our e-mail list to have the best chance to reserve your spot early.
