About the Israel Leadership Fellowship:

Equip your teen with the skills to engage in tough conversations about Israel in college! The Jewish Community Relations Council of the Jewish Federation of San Antonio invites Jewish High School juniors and seniors to become a 2023 Israel Leadership Fellow. In five interactive sessions, teens will discuss honest answers to tough questions about Israel and antisemitism, including, "What is BDS? Why does Israel exist? What are the things about Israel I am proud of? Is anti-Zionism the same as antisemitism?"

Schedule:

5 sessions (in person)

Jan 22, 29 | Feb 5, 19, 26

Sundays from 12:30 - 2 pm

Goals:

  • Deepen your understanding of Israel and its complexities.

  • Develop transferable skills in tough conversations about Israel.

  • Prepare for antisemitism you may face in high school, college, on social media, or in person.

Included:

  • T-shirt, cookbook, kosher lunch, and additional learning materials.

  • A $250 stipend is available to participants who attend an approved teen summer program in Israel.
