Frequently Asked Questions

Is PJ Library really free?

Yes! PJ Library is made possible through the Harold Grinspoon Foundation, our local partners including the Barshop JCC, local synagogues, and non-profits, and of course our families who give. Learn more about ways to give and support the San Antonio Jewish community for the next generation.

Can my child still receive books if they are older than 8 years old?

You bet! PJ Our Way is a continuation of PJ Library for children ages 9-12. Your child can choose 1 free book a month and even leave a review on the PJ Our Way site! It's a great way to keep your child engaged and reading as they continue to grow.

What are some previous (in person) programs/events PJ Library has done?

We provide a wide range of programming for our PJ families and always welcome feedback and ideas! Previous events include playdate park meetups, visiting a pumpkin patch, parents' night out, hamentashen bake off, and even a Hanukkah book reading with Sesame Street friends at Seaworld!

**All of our programs are now virtual, so check the calendar below to see what's coming up.**
