Welcome to PJ Library!
PJ Library is one of the best ways for families to create lasting connections with the San Antonio Jewish community.
Through PJ Library, registered families receive free high-quality Jewish children's books each month. These stories spark conversations that inspire the whole family to explore and celebrate what they love about Jewish life! Younger readers will receive an age-appropriate board book, picture book, or early chapter book, up until they turn 8 years old. Older readers (ages 9 to 12) get to choose their own middle-grade fiction, nonfiction or graphic novel each month through PJ Our Way!
PJ Library is more than just books.
You can do so much with PJ Library. Through PJ, you can meet new families at family-friendly events, take advantage of holiday guides and resources to make celebrating easy and meaningful, and access parenting tips and activities to bring the books you receive to life at home!

How can I sign up?
Children from 6 months to 12 years of age with at least one Jewish parent can sign up for PJ Library! Once you sign up, you'll start to receive our monthly newsletter, which includes our events calendar. You'll also start to get books from us!
Is PJ Library really free?
Yes, it is! PJ Library is made possible through the Jewish Federation of San Antonio's Annual Campaign, in partnership with the Harold Grinspoon Foundation. Thanks to them, and our incredible families who give, kids are able to get free books and events, tailored just for them!
Can my child still receive books if they are older than 8 years old?
Absolutely! Through PJ Our Way, kids ages 9 through 12 are able to choose their own book each month. They're even able to review them on the PJ Our Way website!
What kind of events does PJ Library do?
We've held story time, playdates at parks, an end-of-summer pool party, tot Shabbat, and so much more. We also always welcome feedback and ideas, so please let us know if you have an idea for a fun event!
